Susannah Aynsley studied jewellery design and manufacture at the University College of Ripon and York St. John in York, graduating with a 2:1 honors degree.
Following a course at the London Business School in conjunction with the Worshipful Company of Goldsmith's, she then returned to Sunderland in order to pursue her career as a contemporary jeweller.
With support from the local Training and Enterprise Council and the Prince's Youth Business Trust, Susannah was awarded a start up grant to set up her jewellery business.
More recently, as part of Northern Arts Cultural Business Venture the business was awarded an expansion grant. This has enabled the production of a wider and more varied selection of exclusive designer jewellery.
Examples of Susannah's work are regularly exhibited at galleries and exhibitions across the British Isles but wherever possible a visit to the studio is encouraged as a wide range of her most recent and innovative work is always on display.
Studio visitor hours are currently : Mon - Fri, 10am - 3pm and Saturday by appointment. Please telephone in advance to confirm that Susannah will be available to meet you. Where necessary appointments at alternative times can be arranged.
